Africa Education and Development Trust (AEDT) Post Graduate Soft Loan Programme for Kenyan Muslims
Africa Education and Development Trust (AEDT) is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to assist through soft loan for post graduate student.
AEDT is calling for applications from students pursuing post graduate studies.
To be eligible one must:
- Be a practising Muslim of Kenyan National.
- Have steady income either through salary or business.
- Have secured admission to professional/technical course recognized by the Commission of Higher Education.
- Have proof of ability to service the loan.
- Be able to provide collateral against the loan
Limited chances are available and applications will be based strictly on merit.

Call for Applications: TIS Scholarship to Attend the Women’s Peace Leadership Academic Cohort Program at the Eastern Mennonite University
The Transition Initiatives for Stabilization (TIS), funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), responds to the complex crisis that has evolved in Somalia and self-declared region of Somaliland.
The overall program goal is to mitigate conflict; to promote stability and community cohesion, and to strengthen citizens’ relationships with their government officials. The TIS program supports quick-impact, results-based activities to demonstrate the positive impact of the political reconciliation process.
TIS is offering four (4) scholarships to qualified Somali women to attend the “Women’s Peace Leadership Academic Cohort Program” at the Center for Justice and Peace Building (CJP) in Eastern Mennonite University in the USA. This is a two (2) year Graduate Certificate program which is set to begin in May 2012.

Post: Reach- Informatics Post – Doctoral Fellowship
The Regional East African Center for Health Informatics (REACH -Informatics) in Eldoret, Kenya, was created in 2009 and builds on the long-term collaboration between Indiana and Moi Universities and the global informatics leadership of the Regenstrief Institute.
REACH-Informatics is offering a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship aimed at developing informatics expertise to implement and use health information technology to enhance research and improve health care quality, efficiency, and outcomes.
Fellows will spend 1year at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA to complete classroom work. The second year of the program will be spent in Eldoret, Kenya, at Moi University, Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), and the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH). Fellows will be eligible for either a Master of Science in Clinical Research or a Master of Science in Health Informatics at the end of the two year period.

Turkey Government Scholarships 2011/2012
The Turkey government is offering ten (10) scholarships to Kenyans in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. They are in the following categories:
- Undergraduate: 8
- Post-graduate: 2
Eligibility
Undergraduate:. studies in Engineering, Actuarial Science and Technology and Sciences
- Minimum KCSE mean grade of B (plain) with minimum grade of B in Mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry.
- Not more than 23 years of age
- Only those candidates who completed secondary education in the last 3 years and have original KCSE certificate need to apply.
Post graduate: studies are open except medicine
