Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E) – International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) Jobs
The International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) is seeking applications for the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E). The position will seek to strengthen the efforts in implementing the new phase of the Pan African Research Alliance (PABRA), an alliance founded in 1996 as a consortium of African-owned regional networks, consisting of National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) in a total of 24 countries in Sub- Saharan Africa, an nternational research organisation (dAT) and a number of donor organisations.
Terms of Employment
The position is Regionally recruited and will report to the M&E Specialist. The contract will initially be for a 2-year period, renewable subject to assessment of performance. Consultant Required to Train Teachers and Project Coordinators on Early Childhood Development (ECD) Management
Background
Grassroots Alliance for Community Education (G.R.A.C.E) is a Non Governmental Organization implementing a program aimed at improving the quality of care for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in three provinces, namely Nyanza, Eastern and Central. Through the program, 15 local partner organizations in the program sites have been supported to recruit more than 1,500 OVC into community Early Childhood Development centers, through which they are supported with essential services, including education, medical care, psychosocial support, protection, shelter and food.
The Assignment
G.R.A.C.E Africa seeks to engage a suitably qualified consultant or consultancy firm to train up to 30 people comprised of teachers in charge of the day to day management of the ECD centers and program staff of the 15 partner organizations in each site on ECD management. The aim of the train is to enhance the trainees’ skills and knowledge in ECD management and by extension the management of finances, communication, human resources and daily work at the centers.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing daily correspondence of the ND’s office, responding to standard queries & drafting responses to correspondence. Screen and redirect the incoming and out-going mail, including confidential mail and follow-up with the sections;
- Organize and schedule meetings both internal and external for the ND and manage the logistics around these meetings
- Coordinate travel arrangements both local and international i.e. booking flights, visa applications, transit arrangements, accommodation, car hire, and issuance of taxi vouchers;
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the ND.
Minimum Requirements
- A degree in Business Management or Communication. A diploma in secretarial studies will be an added advantage;
