CORAT Africa is seeking for applications for an accounts Intern.

The internship is not an employment and it will be for a minimum period of 6 months and a maximum of 1 year.

Intern Purpose

Under the supervision of the Accountant, the Intern will be exposed to efficient financial and administrative systems and procedures of safeguarding organizational financial resources.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• A minimum of CPA (K) and very good knowledge of computerized accounting packages, especially Pastel.

• Diploma in Secretarial studies examined by KNEC or a Certificate in Front Office Operations from Kenya Utalii College.

Title of the position: Project Intern – Lake Victoria Livelihoods Program (LVLP)
Department: Programs
Reports to: Project Coordinator-LVLP

Overall responsibility: Assisting the Project Coordinator in delivering the project results as per the approved
project proposal between Ufadhili Trust and Diakonia Sweden

Key areas of responsibility

The Project Intern will have the following responsibilities:

• Partnering with other value-adding organizations to attain the project results.
• Training and capacity building activities.
• Lobbying and advocacy for national and regional policy changes.
• Networking with key stakeholders in the fish sector.
• Information sharing and sensitization of key stakeholders
• Any other duties assigned by the Project Coordinator from time to time.

Term of employment: 12 months non- renewable contract. The Project Intern will be based in Kisumu with a
lot of travel to other parts of the country.
