Key Responsibilities

General Employment and Policy advice

  • Provide guidance and advice to managers and employees on the full range of relevant HR practices and policies e.g. performance management, disciplinary, grievances, recruitment and retention.
  • Ensure policy changes are reflected in all associated documents and communicated to appropriate parties.
  • Keep up to date with the latest changes in employment law and work with the HR manager to make improvements to policies and processes.
  • Maintaining and managing relations with the unions.

Strategy

  • Provide advice and support to managers on the HR impact of business activities
  • Instigate internal communication and employee engagement within Business Unit.

Job Title: Human Resources Officer – Compliance and HR Audit

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator RAP, the HR Officer (Compliance and HR Audit) will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CARE’s policies and procedures including Standards of Conduct, Sexual Harassment and Exploitation, Conflict of Interest and will recommend appropriate action in consistent with the Organization’s policies and Kenyan labor laws.

The incumbent will strengthen the grievance handling mechanisms by building capacity of staff to understand the procedures they should follow. He/she will conduct the RAP Program HR Audits at predetermined
intervals and prepare compliance reports.
