Qualifications/Requirements

Manager/Housekeeper

A Diploma in Hotel management or equivalent and computer literate. Creative and ability to manage resources and to work with minimum supervision. Those with Previous experience will have added advantage.

Cashier/Storekeeper/Receptionists

Minimum Form IV level of Education complemented with relevant training. Previous experience may be required but it is not a prerequisite for the job.

Waiters:

Minimum Form IV level of Education. Previous experience may be required but it is not a prerequisite for the job.

Cooks/Chefs:

Minimum Standard 08 level of Education complemented with relevant training and/or experience.

Cleaners:

Minimum Standard 08 level of Education. Previous experience may have added advantage.

Security Guards:

Minimum Standard 08 level of Education and medically fit. Those with relevant training and/or previous experience may have added advantage but it is not a requirement.

Position: Supervisor

Reports to the Operations Manager and manages a team of stewards

Job Description

• Responsible for coordination of daily briefings and giving feedback
• Responsible for guiding and motivating the stewards.
• Responsible for enforcing health and safety
• Responsible for allocating duties to stewards.
• Responsible for creating interpersonal relationships between the stewards and also enhancing good customers.

• Minimum ‘O’ level.
• Minimum of a certificate  in housekeeping from a recognized institution
• Must have worked in the service or hospitality industry for at least 3 years as a supervisor.

Successful candidates must have a PhD in any of the following fields: Finance, Accounting, management, Marketing, computer Science, software engineering, information systems or information technology plus at least three years of teaching/research at university as a Lecturer/Research fellow and must have published at least three papers in refereed journals or one university level book since her/his last appointment/promotion.

They must demonstrate ability to supervise postgraduate students.

Candidates with a Masters degree may be considered for appointment to this grade provided that they have six years teaching experience at an institution of higher learning as lecturers, have relevant industrial experience, and have published at least 3 articles in refereed journals since the last appointment.

Librarian

Applicants must be holders of a Master degree in library or information sciences. In addition, applicants must have three years post-qualification experience in a university or a large institution.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage and train staff at the university library.

Architect

Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in architecture or from a recognized university. They must be registered with the Architects and Quantity Surveyors and have at least three (3) years post qualification experience. They should be familiar with the public tender process and have relevant IT knowledge.

Senior Secretary

Applicants must be holders of a Bachelors Degree in Secretarial Studies OR Bachelor of Business and Office Management OR equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. In addition the successful candidate must have had at least four (4) years experience as a Senior Secretary Grade 9 or equivalent. Holders of Higher Diploma and
eight (8) years experience in Grade 9 will also be considered.

Senior Assistant Internal Auditor

Clinical Officer
