AMREF National UFBR Alliance Coordinator Job in Kenya

The Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Alliance comprises of five Dutch NGOs working in collaboration with partner organisations in nine countries in Africa and Asia. Members of the Alliance comprise of Rutgers WPF (World Population Foundation), AMREF, dance4life, CHOICE and Simavi.

In Kenya, the Alliance is collaborating with Centre for the Study of Adolescence (CSA), Africa Alive, Support Activities in Poverty Eradication and Health (SAIPEH), The Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK), Nairobits Trust and AMREF.

The Kenyan partner organisations are in a process of harmonising and coordinating the work among themselves, as well as with other players in the field, to become even more effective in bringing sustainable and quality education and services in sexual and reproductive health and rights to the Kenyan people, especially women and the youth. For effective coordination of activities, the Unite For Body Rights (UFBR) will establish a SRHR Secretariat.

A USAID contractor is recruiting the following Nairobi-based positions for a project focused on youth empowerment in Kenya that supports activities focused on community strengthening; conflict management; and youth engagement, identity and self-confidence in predominantly-Somali communities in the Nairobi area.

Project Development Officer: requires at least 5 years relevant experience in Kenya managing donor-funded youth/community development programs in Kenya and/or Somalia.

Grants Manager: requires at least 3 years relevant experience managing USAID or other donor-funded grants programs in Kenya and/or Somalia

Impact Evaluation Coordinator: requires at least 5 years demonstrated experience in monitoring/evaluating community development projects in East Africa, preferably Kenya and/or Somalia, with a background in anthropology preferred.
