Our client, full-service regional banking institution with operations in close to 30 countries on the continent looking to fill the position of Credit Risk Manager for its operations in Kenya.

Reporting to the Country Risk Manager, the job holder will provide leadership to Credit Risk Management Unit and oversee management of risks inherent in the credit process, loan documentation and portfolio management.

This job includes early warning signs and remedial management for non-performing loans.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure effectiveness of the unit structure and systems (policies, process, procedure and tools) in achieving compliance requirements, optimal efficiency, resource utilization and cost containment
• Review of sectorial ceilings; discretionary authorities, portfolio measures including industry limits, tenor limits, risk rating, NPLs, risk acceptance criteria, security acceptance and credit risk matrices
