Kirinyaga District Farmers Sacco is a large rural Sacco with seven branches across the Kirinyaga County.

In order to attain our vision and mission, we are desirous of recruiting suitable persons into the following vacancies to drive the internal changes necessary to attain our vision and mission.

Branch Managers

Reporting to the Branch Operations Manager, the person will be required to perform the following key tasks:

• Coordinating day to day operations of the branch.
• Driving business growth of the branch to meet key targets.
• Provide leadership, direction, supervision and pace to the branch staff.
• Manage and control branch expenditure within agreed budgets.

The Role:

• With the Executive Chef, plan appropriate desserts for all the menus.
• Create new recipes and conduct testing and evaluation of new pastry and dessert recipes.
• Order supplies from various vendors and, in some cases, go directly to growers for the freshest possible fruits and berries.
• Prepare budgets for the pastry department in conjunction with the Executive Chef.
• Supervise the apprentices and chefs in training within the pastry kitchen.
• Provide training on pastry and dessert making.
• Achieve the food margins required.

The Candidate:

• Aged between 30 to 40 years.
• Passionate and creative – Natural artistic talent important.
• Utalii training or equivalent.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyse sales information, work out sales targets and plan how to increase profits.
• Visit suppliers or manufacturers to select goods, which is likely to involve working closely with retail buyers.
• Negotiate a price, order the goods, agree a delivery date, complete all the necessary paperwork, and keep in touch with suppliers to make sure that the goods arrive on time.
• Work closely with display staff and department managers to decide how goods should be displayed to best attract customers’ attention.
• Planning and setting up sales promotions and advertising .
• Visit different stores to discuss how well stock is selling, and make decisions on how to increase sales
