Relief, Reconstruction and Development Organization Environment Project Officer Vacancy Announcement
Relief, Reconstruction and Development Organization (RROO) is a local NGO registered under the NGO Coordination Act 1990 with its head office in Nairobi and Field Office in Dadaab.
RROO is currently implementing an environment and livelihood project in both the host community and refugee setting at Dadaab in partnership with Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).
RRDO aims to support good environmental governance and sound resource management. We are looking for a highly motivated, result oriented and proactive individual to fill the vacant position below.

UNEP Request for Proposal Consultancy – Public Expenditure Review of Kenya’s Environment Sector
Government of Kenya’s Poverty and Environment Initiative Project (PEI), the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNDEP) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are seeking proposals from qualified and highly experienced consultancy firms to carry out a Public Expenditure Review of Kenya’s Environment Sector.
1. Background
The Government of Kenya’s Poverty and Environment Initiative Project (PEI), aims to enhance the contribution of sound environmental management to poverty reduction, sustainable economic growth and achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.
Led by the Ministry of State for Planning, National Development and Vision 2030 in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources (MEMR)), among the intended outcomes of PEI is the integration of environment into national policy, planning and budget processes in order to support the implementation of the District Development Plans, and the Medium Term Plan towards the realization of Kenya’s long term development strategy-the Vision 2030.

AMREF is enhancing the development of its HIV/AIDS/TB programme by scaling up programmes and adapting them to the changing needs of disadvantaged communities in Africa. Stationed at the headquarters in Nairobi, the Programme Leader will offer strategic direction in this development and lead efforts to attract new partners into the programme. This is an internationally recruited position and part of AMREF’s senior management team, reporting to the Director of Health Programme Development.
