General Manager, Truworths & Identity Brands

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager for Truworths & Identity brands has end-to-end value chain responsibility for developing and entrenching the brand in new markets.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Entrench the Truworths and Identity brands in suitable markets and locations, leveraging available growth opportunities;
• Develop business strategies and build a working team that will deliver on agreed business plans;
• Maximise delivery of customer service and  brand portfolio proposition;

Group Marketing Director

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for insightful and creative thought leadership, spearheading marketing programs and leading all CSR and external communications for the Group.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Ensure effective, marketing communication across all brands, channels and categories;
• Research and anticipate lifestyle trends, new markets, locations and geographies that will add value to the business;
• Advise General Managers on emerging innovations, standards and competitive mix in all segments that the company targets;
• Research and evaluate new products and brand opportunities, customer needs and insights;
• With Retail General Managers lead the development of sales campaigns, programs, collaterals and packaging to ensure ensuing incremental revenues;

Group Operations Director

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is responsible for all Business Support functions, namely Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology, Property & Procurement, Warehousing and Distribution.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead strategic long-term initiatives for operational excellence;
• Manage the effectiveness and efficiency of Business Support Services;
• Coordinate workflow between support and front facing business retail operations;

The Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), the apex body for the private sector in Kenya, has been tasked with the management of Component 2 of the Kenya Youth Empowerment Project (KYEP).

The KYEP, providing private sector internships and work experience to youth of 15 – 29 years of age will run from 2010 to 2014, and is supported by the Office of the Prime Minister; Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, and the World Bank. KEPSA is seeking to appoint four key staff to implement this project, initially on two-year contracts.
