Background: The Government of the Republic of Kenya has applied for financing from Sweden to support the development of a National Urban Development Policy.

The Government of Kenya through the Office of The Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Local Government, with support from Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) has embarked on the preparation of a National Urban Development Policy (NUDP).

The Consortium seeks to hire a consultant to conduct Participatory Impact Assessment on the Interactive Booklets on Children Drought Preparedness for Improved Community Response to Drought (ICRD) phase II project which is ECHO funded

Background

The overall goal of the project is to contribute to alleviating the impact of current drought and frequent drought cycles on the target vulnerable local communities in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and Somalia.

Position Title: Assistant Technical Advisor
Project: Livestock Epidemio-Surveillance Southern Sub- Project
Duty station: Juba, Sudan
Duration: 1 Year renewable

Role

The Assistant Technical Advisor will assist in day to day activities and standing in for the Technical Advisor during his/her absence and coordinate the implementation of the LESP Project in Juba, Southern Sudan. This will involve provision of both technical and strategic leadership; ensuring efficient project development and management; ensuring that systems and procedures are in line with VSFB policies, VSFB strategy, donor and legal requirements.
